Galvanized manufacturing process iron wires

Galvanized iron wire is a type of binding wire that has been coated with zinc to resist corrosion and rust. The process of galvanization(electro-galvanized,hot dipped galvanized) involves creating a protective layer on the surface. This makes the galvanized iron wire suitable for outdoor use and in environments where moisture and other corrosive elements are present. The galvanized iron wire is commonly used in fencing, binding, and construction reinforcement due to its durability and cost-effectiveness compared to stainless steel alternatives.

Specification

Galvanized iron wire is a type of low carbon steel wire that is made from iron9Q195/Q235) and coated with a protective layer of zinc to prevent rusting and corrosion. The process of applying this zinc layer is known as galvanization.

The galvanization process involves dipping the iron wire into a molten bath of zinc. This results in a chemical reaction that bonds the zinc to the iron, creating a durable and resistant outer layer.

The surface of electro-galvanized iron wire is smoother, but the zinc coating is 15-20g/㎡. In contrast, hot-dip galvanized iron wire has a zinc coating of 50-60g/㎡. With a thicker layer of zinc on the surface, hot-dip galvanized iron wire is less susceptible to rust.

Features:

  • Corrosion Resistance: The primary advantage of galvanized iron wire is its resistance to rust and corrosion. The zinc coating protects the underlying iron from the elements, which extends the galvanized iron wire's lifespan and makes the galvanized iron wire suitable for outdoor use.

  • Cost-Effective: Galvanizing iron wire is a cost-effective method of preventing corrosion. The galvanized iron wire is less expensive than other methods such as stainless steel and offers a long-lasting solution.

  • Versatility: Galvanized iron wire is versatile and can be used in a wide range of applications, including construction, agriculture, fencing, cable reinforcement, and more.
